• We hired Garyoke to DJ a retirement party. We had multiple phone calls to discuss songs and music genres to ensure we would have the perfect playlist. Gary set up 2 hours before his scheduled start time to make sure his equipment was fully operational prior to the arrival of the first guest. Based on the average age of the attendees, I doubted there would be too much interest in the karaoke aspect. I was wrong, Gary was able to entice many to show off their singing skills. The guests didn't want the party to end, so Gary agreed to stay an additional hour. It was a great experience, and wouldn't hesitate to use Gary for any function. Highly recommend him.

• My Stepson decided to get married recently and we didn't have a great deal of time to plan his wedding. My wife and I contacted Gary on pretty short notice and I have to say it was one of the best decisions we ever made. Gary was a consummate professional, stayed in contact with us throughout, and went out of his way to ensure that the reception would be totally covered on the entertainment front! He was very receptive to our input and played everything we asked for as well as making certain that the music was a constant presence throughout the entire reception. • Garyoke Time traveled to DJ at our niece's barn wedding...she'd been planning this for 2 years so every detail was covered...including choosing the perfect DJ to cap off a perfect venue and ceremony! Gary had the barn rocking and a dance floor full of young and old! He even came down out of his DJ stage to teach the electric slide! • Garyoke Time is awesome for any event. We used him for our neighborhood block party in Point O' Woods and he just really made the party. People stayed much longer than usual, which helped me get to know some of my neighbors that I've never met before. We found out who all the great singers are in the neighborhood, we danced well into the night and he even agreed to be the spokesperson for our raffles. Also, his price was very reasonable. I highly recommend Gary Stevenson and Garyoke Time. BTW, he's an artist too but that's a whole other story you'll have to ask him about. Thank you Gary, it was a fantastic evening.

• I wanted to throw an awesome 50th bday party for my boyfriend Tom. He said all he wanted was a karaoke machine. Well - GaryOke was waaay better! Gary played dancing music and karaoke. He had a great selection of songs and everyone had a blast! Gary was in tune with what we wanted to sing. His equipment didn't take up much space at all. And he even brought lights! I will be hiring Gary again very soon!

• “It was our 25th wedding anniversary, and I had family coming in from all corners of the world to help us celebrate! We wanted to have an exceptional time, so what could be more exceptional than a Luau with Karaoke?!! What a great decision on our part to choose Gary Stevenson for that job! "Garyoke Time" was the absolute highlight of our event!! Almost no one at my party had ever experienced Karaoke - to include ME!! -- but it was magical seeing folks who I always thought of as introverts step up to the microphone and belt out a song with total abandon and joy!! Some folks were great, some were funny, some were tragic (also funny!) -- but everyone had a blast, whether they actively sang, or just sat around enjoying the entertainment. For me, the best part of the night was when my beautiful but quiet sister stepped up to the microphone and sang with a group of other ladies "I am Woman!" They all laughed and blushed, and sang, and laughed some more!! What a great time! Gary's feel-good vibe gets everyone into the right mood to have a great time and overcome their inhibitions. He encourages the singers and patiently shows the shy ones how it works, so no one is embarrassed or made to feel exposed. The experienced singers have a huge selection of songs to choose from, so everyone is a winner with Garyoke Time!! Thanks, Gary, for taking our 25th wedding anniversary celebration up a notch, to exceptional!

• Gary did a fantastic job for our combination retirement and 70 birthday party at our home in Ellicott City, MD, on June 2, 2013. Gary arrived in plenty of time to have everything set up by the time everyone started to arrive for the party. He played the music that we wanted him to play, and the sound was perfect. Gary was extremely personable, and he made it easy for anyone to come to the microphone to participate in the singing – Garyoke style. I never did this before, but he made me feel very comfortable, laughing at myself with others enjoying my performance. He interacted with everyone in a way that made it seem that he had known them for years. Many at the party commented that he fit in very well, and was very enjoyable to talk to. Several also said he would be great for future special parties involving the family (for example, a large family picnic with over 100 participants). His video captured the day in a way that will give us many great memories of the day. Overall rating = 10 out of 10.
